We're not using Connections, but I wonder if it might be some other activity it's trying to authenticate with. We are using the embedded ST client, and a policy has users using SSO to log into ST, and that's successful based on the fact that they can use chat with no problem.

Is it possible that the client is trying to hit some other process (the meeting server?) using the stored password rather than SSO?

As I said, once they log out and log back in with the new password (matching the latest HTTP password in their Person document) the errors on the LDAP server go away.
